Dock &
Lake Access
At Hand Cove Resort and RV Park, you'll enjoy fast and easy
lake access. You can fish or swim from either our swim deck or from shore. There are
several good bank fishing spots, and there are great places to swim in the lake. Feel like
a morning hike? Then explore part of the 550 miles of primitive shoreline of Norfork Lake.
The lake shore, along with our grounds offers an abundance of native plants and wildlife.
If you are not a hiker, then do your exploring, fishing, swimming, or tubing from the
comfort and convenience of one of our rental boats. Whether you are a cabin or RV guest,
our rental boats will carry you to all of the best Norfork Lake has to offer.
Bringing your own boat? Just back it into the water on the
hard surface launch ramp next to our dock, pull your vehicle out, and either park in our
large parking area at the launch, or near your cabin or RV and walk the short distance
back to our dock. If you like to trailer your boat each day when coming off the lake, you
will enjoy our launch and parking. If you want to leave your boat in the water, we have
plenty of dock stalls.

Our dock and yard seen from Norfork Lake
Boat Dock In A Protected Cove
Our private covered illuminated 11 stall boat dock is
located a short distance from the main lake channel in a protected cove. You will sleep
well each night knowing that your boat is safe and secure from the elements. Each stall is
padded with carpeting, is well lit, and has electrical outlets to power your battery
chargers and other equipment. Our new well lit fish cleaning station has electric outlets
and running water.
The boat dock can be seen easily from most of our resort
cabins. With the resort's boat dock so close to the launch ramp, it is easy to launch and
dock your boat. Easily load coolers, food, fishing gear, water toys, and then head out to
the fun you want to have on the lake.
Two full service marinas are a short boat ride away. They
offer fuel sales, fishing guide services, stores selling fishing tackle, bait, snacks,
ice, etc., and full service marine repairs.
Activities
Scuba Diving - This area of Norfork Lake is famous
for scuba diving. Jordan Marina, 1/2 mile away by water, has a PADI certified scuba shop
with equipment sales, air, service and rentals. They also have maps detailing locations of
29 underwater attractions that are nearby. The underwater visibility is excellent for
scuba diving which also makes for good spear fishing. Ask us about a dive site map
detailing locations of 29 underwater attractions that are nearby.
Fishing - Our area of the lake has
some of the best fishing Norfork Lake offers. The lake supports largemouth, smallmouth,
Kentucky, white, and striped bass, crappie and walleye, blue, channel, and flathead
catfish, and bream (bluegill, red ear, sunfish). Stripers typically run 6 to 10 pounds.
Stripers and catfish over 25 pounds are not unusual, and 3 to 5 pound bass are relatively
common. The kids love catching crappie and bluegill from the dock. We have charcoal
smokers and a propane fish fryer for your free use. We also sell Arkansas fishing licenses
Sand Island & The Beaches - Norfork
Lake's only white sand beaches are 5 minutes away from our resort by boat. The beaches are
a favorite place for vacationers to beach their boats, swim, picnic, fish, sun, and build
sand castles. Bonfires are a normal happening on the weekends. Hop into your boat (or rent
one of ours) and join the fun!
Area Attractions - Mountain Home, AR is about 30 minutes from the
resort. Mountain Home has many restaurants, movie theaters, two 18 hole golf courses,
churches, bowling, miniature golf, horseback riding, antique and craft shopping. The
resort is a convenient base camp for day trips. Many of our guests enjoy exploring
Blanchard Springs Caverns, The Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, Old Hardy Town,
Branson, MO for music shows and Silver Dollar City theme park.
